Hainan Airlines increases Service to US

  Chengdu is a popular destination for Americans who like the panda bears and ancient Chinese history. More flights by Hainan Airline will connect LA and NYC with Chengdu this spring.

Hainan Airlines has increased the number of flights to both NYC and LA. The NY route began in October of 2017 and demand for seats has forced this Chinese airline to add an addition weekly flight to both coasts of America commencing this spring.

Both of the expanded routes have an origin and final destination of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in China. The NYC facility used is the John F. Kennedy International Airport with the one in LA is Los Angeles International Airport.

On May 18, 2018 the additional flight to LA will appear on the flight schedule. The days of the week the flights will be taking off out of China are Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Out of LA the days of departure will include Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Flight HU 469 will depart from Chengdu at 10:35 pm and arrive in LA at 8:30 pm that same day. The return Flight HU 470 will depart from California the following morning at 12:45 am and arrive back in China at 6:30 am a day after it left.

Economy class seats for a one way ticket begin at $673 USD with business class beginning at $2,516 USD out of LAX.

On May 24, 2018 the additional weekly flight to NYC will begin service. The weekly flights will be on the schedule out of China on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The return flights out of New York will be on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Flight HU 7915 departs from Chengdu at 10:10 pm and arrives in NYC at 12:50 am the following morning. The return Fliight HU 7916 departs from New York at 2:50 am and arrives back in China at 6:30 am two days after it left.

Economy class seats for a one way ticket begin at $975 USD with business class beginning at $3,504 USD out of JFK.

A Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner is the aircraft being used for both routes to America.

Business class seats are of the lay flat variety and have both 110 V AC power outlets and USB ports each. Economy class seats have two 110 V AC power outlets for every three seats.
