Alaska Airlines is expanding their number of routes in and out of California and Oregon that will provide travelers with an alternative low cost path to reach their destination.
The first of the new flights was from San Jose to Newark, New Jersey. The maiden flight took to the sky on March 12th at 6:30 am. This is a daily direct flight now on the schedule.
Today there are two new routes making their maiden journeys through the sky over America. The first one to depart is the Portland to Orlando flight that leaves at 6:30 am. This is also a daily direct flight. The second new route is from San Jose to Burbank, both in California. This new direct route will be on the schedule for 3 times a day. The departure times out of San Jose are 6:50 am, 12:30 pm and 5:25 pm.
The news out of the San Diego airport is 6 new daily direct routes by Alaska Airlines to begin this fall.
San Diego to Austin will appear on the schedule August 27th with a departure time of 6:55 pm.
San Diego to Omaha is set to depart at 8:50 am commencing on August 28th.
San Diego to Albuquerque will make its maiden flight on October 18th at 4:35 pm.
San Diego to Minneapolis is set to appear on the schedule November 18th. This daily direct flight departs California at 1:50 pm.
The San Diego to Kansa City routes will be heading east at 6:40 pm beginning on December 15th.
The last of the new routes is the San Diego to St. Louis daily flight that is set to depart at 8:30 am out of California on December 15th.
The San Jose to Newark and the Portland to Orlando flights will use a Boeing 737 aircraft. The remainder of the new routes will be flown by an Embraer E175 aircraft from the Alaska Airlines fleet.
